THE WORK:
Ripple is hiring a Lead Full Stack Engineer, Marketing to join our growing team. You will assume a vital, strategic role in establishing the technical vision and framework for Ripple’s marketing technology platform. Through creating dynamic, high-performing, and globally scalable experiences, you will directly boost our go-to-market efforts and support our revenue teams.
This role is ideal for an engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, growth marketing, marketing automation, and lead intelligence. Operating at a Staff/Lead level, you will partner closely with Demand Generation, Lifecycle Marketing, SDR, and Data teams to architect scalable solutions that power lead qualification, intelligent routing, experimentation, and full-funnel attribution. You will lead by example through hands-on coding, architecture design, and cross-functional leadership, advancing our modern web stack into a dynamic, conversion-optimized platform supported by intelligent workflows.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Architect Marketing Automation & Lead Intelligence Workflows: Design, build, and optimize marketing automation systems that improve lead qualification, enrichment, scoring, routing, and engagement. Leverage intent data and behavioral signals to enable timely inbound follow-up and targeted outbound opportunities.
- Bridge Marketing and SDR Operations: Strengthen operational integration between Marketing and Sales Development by establishing reliable lead lifecycle processes, assignment and routing logic, response-time expectations, and feedback loops that improve handoffs and inform marketing investments.
- Lead Funnel Instrumentation & Attribution: Develop and maintain marketing funnel instrumentation and reporting to provide visibility into lead quality, conversion rates, campaign attribution, and pipeline contribution. Evaluate qualification criteria, identify funnel bottlenecks, and surface actionable insights to improve conversion efficiency.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Demand Generation, Lifecycle Marketing, SDR, and Data teams to identify operational gaps, translate high-level business goals into scalable technical solutions, and continuously refine workflows based on performance data and partner feedback.
- Scale Web Architecture & Platforms: Develop and oversee the comprehensive technical plan for Ripple's marketing web platforms, ensuring resilience, high availability, localization, and high-traffic scalability across global markets.
- Engineer Experimentation & Personalization: Build and scale experimentation (A/B testing) and personalization infrastructure, empowering the Growth team to deliver targeted campaigns and dynamic content seamlessly.
- Modernize CMS & Content Delivery: Build scalable CMS schemas and APIs in Sanity to support modular content creation that directly powers performance marketing and lead generation funnels.
- Optimize Performance & Technical SEO: Continuously optimize Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and edge-caching strategies, recognizing the direct impact of site speed and architecture on user acquisition and conversion rates.
- Pioneer AI & Workflow Automation: Architect and deploy LLM-powered tools and intelligent automations that streamline marketing operations, enrich data, and increase team productivity.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Define and enforce engineering guidelines, CI/CD pipelines, and architecture standards while mentoring engineers to develop a culture of technical excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Staff, Lead, or Principal engineering capacity, ideally within marketing technology, growth engineering, or data-driven digital platforms.
- Strong proficiency in modern web technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and API-driven architectures, with experience building scalable marketing platforms and integrations.
- Validated experience designing and implementing marketing automation systems, including lead and account scoring, behavioral tracking, intent-based triggers, enrichment workflows, and intelligent lead routing.
- Strong understanding of the marketing and sales technology ecosystem, including CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot/Marketing Cloud Account Engagement), CDPs, and third-party data integrations.
- Experience developing marketing funnel measurement and attribution frameworks, including event instrumentation, lead lifecycle tracking, conversion analytics, and data pipelines that connect marketing engagement to pipeline outcomes.
- Proven ability to build and optimize cross-functional workflows between Marketing and Sales, including lead qualification processes, automated handoffs, routing logic, and mechanisms for measuring lead quality and follow-up effectiveness.
- Experience implementing experimentation and personalization solutions (e.g., GrowthBook, Statsig, LaunchDarkly, VWO) to support conversion rate optimization and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to translate complex business objectives into technical requirements, scalable architectures, and actionable engineering roadmaps.
- Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms, preferably Sanity, including content modeling, API integrations, and extensible architectures that support marketing flexibility.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and technical leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with Demand Generation, Lifecycle Marketing, Sales Development, and other stakeholders to drive initiatives forward.
- Solid understanding of web performance, technical SEO, analytics instrumentation, and modern deployment infrastructure, including Vercel, server-side rendering, and edge technologies.
